About me
I am a woman who is earnestly seeking God’s will for my life simply because I am tired of having a sewage heart (see blog posting). I believe that God has called me to write, not from any skill I have, rather to commune with him and to heal my heart. I hope to share these moments with you for the simple sake of getting them off my chest for accountability and vulnerability as I find that my pride and stubbornness is a continual defect taking root in my life. This is my story and my heart. This is my God-story. My path through finding redemption and seeking God. My road is rough and tough, but it’s honest. I hope you read knowing that–don’t judge too harshly.
I currently live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband, Cole, whom I honestly believe is a man after God’s heart, and my two year old son, Oren, who is a blessing to me everyday. And of course the family dog Samson.
In the little spare time I have, I enjoy digging into a good book, and spending time with my four sisters, parents, in-laws, and various other friends and family. I currently absolutely love my job working as a substitute teacher mostly in middle schools helping to keep things under control and encouraging students to develop strongly to be successful in the world in the real things that matter.
Enjoy!
Ashley

Ashley,
Your statement about writing things down is so right on. I have written all my life, since I could hold a pencil. I too have journals and although I revisit them infrequently, I know that the act of recording what God teaches me helps me remember it.
Unfortunately, I can tell you from my experience and that of others my age, the battle to let go of self and do just what God tells you to do is a continuing battle. We have learned that it is a matter of surrendering to Jesus every day, sometimes every hour or even every minute.
Keep up the good work. As we share in our struggles, we grow in the Lord.
Blessings, Pat
